To the top 2 fastest riders in both categories – congrats… MBS prize for $500 and $100 awaits. We just need a while more to confirm the results standing.
What a turnout! Cyclists from all walks of life coming together to cycle planned routes that Spectrum (Event organiser) paid to close off. Of course we contributed with our registration and got a jersey, goodie bag etc.
While there was still the frustrating bottleneck at Lavender/Crawford section where most cyclists had to walk, the event overall was well organised and showed that the organisers learnt from the past and implemented new arrangements.
My Bike Shop members and their bike brands, Dahon, Flamingo, Airnimal, Bike Friday, Moulton turned up for mostly the Nissan challenge (40km) event from 540am and we were flagged off along with the other 5000+ other cyclists. Overall we understood that this year had 10000 cyclists.
We were flagged off in waves and the routes along ECP were pushed to the Expressway and not constraint to the narrow and tight East Coast PCN. It was truly a great feeling cycling over 4 car lanes… 100+ and water were dished out and the route had people cheering on.
At our booth, we had hefty discounts on Schwalbe Ultremos, I-Fit Sleeves, O-Synce Meters to help new adopters for these much needed stuff.

In a race dominated by British brands, Dahon emerges again the fastest in the race. The competitors, dressed in business attire will wait 30m away from their folded bikes, at the drop of the British Flag the competitors run to their steeds building them as fast as they can and setting off on a 5 lap dash.
